Ok, just to clear this up, hair does NOT grow back thicker when shaved or waxed. Your hair follicles are all ONE size, your hair can NOT grow larger or smaller then what they grow in and out of, if u wax it of new hair will grow and each hair strand will be tapered at the top causing each individual hair to actually appear finer, if u shave it (or any other part of your body) you are creating bluntness at the base of the follicle, hence it will grow out with a blunt tip making the hair strands seem thincker, but it is not enough of a difference to make hair appear thicker or thinner, however, you can wax or tweeze enough that you kill your follicle and hair stops growing, this takes YEARS, thats why a LOT of old ladies don't have eyebrows
