Why wont my hair grow?

I'M MIXED B/W BY THE WAY. MY HAIR WAS VERY LONG DURING MY PREGNANCY WITH MY 3RD CHILD AND THEN WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY 4TH, MY HAIR JUST BROKE OFF!!! IT GROWS IN THE MIDDLE BUT NOT ON THE SIDES SO IT LOOKS PRETTY BAD IN A PONYTAIL. I'VE BEEN USING A LEAVE IN CONDITIONER AND TAKING MY PRENATAL VITAMINS NOW AFTER I GAVE BIRTH AND NOTHING IS WORKING!! PLEASE HELP. I DYED MY HAIR IN JUNE OF 2007 AND I HAVE ABOUT 4 INCHES OF NEWGROWTH BUT IN MY PICS MY HAIR IS THE SAME LENGTH AS WHEN I DYED IT. to the ends of my ears on the sides, to my eyebrows in the front and an inch down my neck in the back. I WILL NEVER DYE MY HAIR AGAIN SO YOU DONT HAVE TO MAKE THAT SUGGESTION.

Why wont my hair grow?

You'll have to pay attention to your diet since you've been giving births and also because the food you consume has a direct affect on the health of your hair. Fresh items in the food can stimulate faster and healthy growth of hair.

Take in a nutritive diet and consume plenty of water, there is no need for you to take in any additional vitamins. Your fibrous foods should include lots of green vegetables, fruits, and salads.

As for applying natural stuff to your hair, you'll have to provide me with your hair type. Coloring doesn't affect the hair, but it's best to avoid it for some time.

Why wont my hair grow?

since your hair "broke off" that means you have split ends.

what you should do is buy a reconstructor treatment which helps repair damaged, brittle hair. use it until your hair feels healthy again and you should also get a hair cut or trim your hair to remove the split ends.

dyeing your hair actually has nothing to do with your problem. hair dye doesn't do much damage to hair other than make it dry.

Contrary to what the previous posters said, the hair dye may have played a major role in why your hair is damaged.

But anyway.. I suggest that you use a protein treatment specialized for women with mixed or curly type hair. Dominican products work best, I don't know why. The best product is the 10 in 1, but sometimes it's hard to find if you don't live in a city where there are alot of hispanics. I buy mine online at www.roundbrushhair.com.

If not, you can use an Aphogee intensive conditioner, but follow the directions to the tee. It's not that your hair isn't growing, but the ends are unhealthy. If you don't want to go for an all out cut, then try "dusting" your ends every 4-6 weeks. Dusting consists of just slightly trimming until the hair is totally healthy. I hate haircuts!!

Why wont my hair grow?

Putting pregnancy and illness aside, hair pretty much grows at a maximum rate of half an inch per month no matter what you do. A little faster in the summer than in the winter. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.co... will help you.
