she is almost four and i barely get a puff for a ponytail what can i use to help it grow i have tried to braid it up but she will take it out every night before bed can her hair grow without keeping it done

Hair only grows a maximum of 1/2 inch per month. If her hair is very fine it can break easily when you put it in a ponytail. You are better off letting it hang loose. You can't make hair grow faster. Poor nutrition can cause hair to grow slowly. Children have such small tummies and can be picky eaters despite how great of a cook you are. So if her Doctor will allow it a children's multi-vitamin might be helpful to help her and her hair grow.

when i was little like around 3 my mom said my hair wouldnt grow either..and what she did was shave all my hair off..lol..well it worked and i have really long hair now like up to my hips. im not suggesting u shave her head but cutting ur hair usually helps..u know how they say after u shave ur hair grows longer..well its like that with the hair on ur head too! i realize she doesnt have that much hair to begin with but still worth trying possibly..

Im not sure if you are african american, but I see alot of african american moms doing the same thing that will prevent their childs hair from growing. First do not use heavy adult hair products on a childs hair, do not attempt to braid too tightly or put ponytails that are too tight. Just comb and brush the hair apply petroleum jelly or some sort of kids hair product, but dont over do it. and it can also be that she is only 4 and some kids hair start growing at different rates especialy for african american children, be patient and treat your daughters hair with care, and in due time her hair will start growing

if you just trim her hair a little at a time it may grow my hair used to be just like this......You shouldnt worry It worked for me
